Research interest

High-throughput (HT) synthesis and characterization of novel electro-, and photoelectrocatalysts. Material libraries are synthesized using ink-jet printing, automated pipetting, electrodeposition and physical vapor deposition. These methods are combined with semi-automated and automated physicochemical (XPS, EDX, XRF, profilometry, etc.) characterization and rapid (photo)electrochemical screening with SFC-ICP-MS techniques.


My research focuses on two major group of materials:


• Metal-alloy electrocatalysts, which can be successfully applied in alcohol fuel cells – HT synthesis, stability measurements in the presence of various fuels
• Photoelectrocatalysts, ranging from simple metal-oxides to complex systems (co-catalyst-decorated, protective layer-coated, etc.) – HT synthesis, stability measurements
