Selectivity of Electroycatalysts

Hydrogen peroxide is a wide-spread chemical, that is used in many different fields, e.g. in industry, in the medical sector and also in the domestic sector. It has strong oxidizing properties but at the same time the oxidation process is environmentally benign, as the only products are oxygen and water. The most common way to produce H2O2 is the anthraquinone process, which produces a significant amount of waste and is only feasible in large scale plants.
Therefore, my research focuses on the alternative electrochemical production of hydrogen peroxide and the development of small scale table-top reactors.
