Research Interests:

The electrochemical production of hydrogen from renewable energy is a promising building block for a future CO2-neutral energy system.
The central issue of my research are manufacturing processes for membrane electrode assemblies for water electrolysis applications. For optimum performance, not only the pure materials but also the interface properties play a crucial role. These can be varied using techniques like spray-coating, electrospinning and extrusion. Electrochemical analyses are performed on state-of-the-art test systems.
