The main focus of my research is to understand the process - structure relationship for solution-processed organic and perovskite photovoltaics. There, crystallization and liquid-liquid phase separation mechanisms occuring during the drying and annealing steps determines the final film structure. I investigate the morphology formation during the fabrication process by means of Phase-Field Simulations. The goal is to identify process design rules in order to fabricate solar cells with optimized morphology and therefore improved efficiency and lifetime.
