HI ERN signs the “Erlanger Erklärung“

A clear commitment to diversity and democracy: HI ERN has signed the “Erlanger Erklärung” and is sending a strong message for an open urban society.
Prof. Dr. Karl Mayrhofer, Executive Director and Head of the Electrocatalysis Research Division at the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nuremberg for Renewable Energies (HI ERN), has signed the “Erlanger Erklärung”. With this step, we aim to actively support the common initiative for respectful and diverse living together in Erlangen. The declaration focuses on fundamental principles such as the dignity of every human being, the protection of fundamental and human rights, and respectful behavior.
The goal is to strengthen diversity, counteract discrimination, and encourage fair participation for all. By signing this declaration, we commit to living these values in our daily work and visibly representing them to the outside world. At the same time, the declaration opens up new opportunities for exchange and collaboration with other committed stakeholders in the city.
