Simulation of Particle-laden Flows
The team specialises in studying particle-laden flows, essentially particles suspended in fluids commonly found in various industries and everyday situations.
Our HI ERN research department is developing simulation and modeling techniques for fluid dynamics. Typical scientific and engineering contexts are electrocatalytic thin films, and printing and coating processes. The results of this work are supposed to improve fundamental understanding as well as assist production of solar cells and electrocatalytic devices. The theoretical work of our section perfectly connects the HI ERN research areas “printable photovoltaics” and “hydrogen as secondary energy source”.
